The Welsh Lamb Club is open to all restaurants, gastro pubs and bistros in the UK that serve authentic Welsh Lamb on their menus.

Welsh Lamb has the EU's coveted Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) status which protects this unique meat from imitation. PGI status means that for meat to be called Welsh Lamb, it must be born and reared in Wales and slaughtered at an approved abattoir.

The Welsh Lamb Club was set up to bring together those restaurants that have committed to using authentic Welsh Lamb on their menus. This means that customers visiting these restaurants can rest assured that every time they order Welsh Lamb from the menu, they will be treated to one of the finest ingredients available.

HCC will contact the named supplier in order to verify source of supply. These suppliers are aware of the conditions of membership of The Welsh Lamb Club. They have agreed to cooperate and supply the appropriate information to verify that the Welsh Lamb that I purchase from them meets with the criteria of the Welsh Lamb Club.

I confirm a real commitment to Welsh Lamb and can demonstrate that the restaurant operates a clear policy on the labeling and descriptions of the Welsh Lamb dishes being served.

I will supply the required traceability information to Hybu Cig Cymru - Meat Promotion Wales and have informed my supplier(s) of my intention to do so.

Our current menus available on request and confirm that where possible there is always a Welsh Lamb dish available.
