Early Christmas present for lucky Welsh Lamb buyers

Thirteen shoppers will be enjoying an extra special Christmas this year after buying Welsh Lamb.

During September and October, Hybu Cig Cymru - Meat Promotion Wales ran a competition with a UK supermarket chain and a Welsh processor to give Welsh Lamb buyers the chance to win vouchers to spend in store.

One lucky winner received £500 worth of shopping vouchers, two received £250, and a further 10 received £50.

Bethan Evans from Carmarthen was chosen as the lucky winner of the top prize.

"I was very pleased to have won and it's great timing with Christmas coming up. Welsh Lamb is one of my favourites and I will certainly be buying some with these vouchers." She said.

Bill Joyce, HCC's Marketing Manager' said: "I would like to congratulate all the lucky winners of this competition. We hope that people enjoy spending these vouchers as much as they enjoyed the Welsh Lamb they bought."
