Roadshow and new recipe book aim to inspire Welsh shoppers

Welsh Lamb and Welsh Beef will be hitting the road in the next few weeks to inspire shoppers throughout Wales to support local businesses.
Hybu Cig Cymru - Meat Promotion Wales are launching their new autumn recipe kits in butchers and supermarkets throughout the country to give people fresh ideas for creating tasty and interesting meals in their own home.
The new autumn recipe booklets will also feature an introduction from the Face of Welsh Lamb Myrddin Davies and William Evans, a Welsh Beef farmer from Machynlleth on how sheep and cattle are reared in Wales.
The new recipes include a Welsh Lamb suet pudding and a Welsh Lamb, liver and mushroom pate.
Graham Titchener, HCC's Marketing Executive, said "There are some fantastic new ideas in these recipe booklets and hopefully they will inspire people to go along to their local butcher or supermarket and pick up some Welsh Lamb or Welsh Beef to try out these recipes or even create some new ideas of their own."
During September and October, staff from HCC will be teaming up with the Welsh Assembly Government on their Wales the True Taste trailer to promote Welsh food businesses at supermarkets throughout the country.
Staff will be cooking all day showing people how to make the new Welsh Lamb and Welsh Beef recipes using products from Welsh Food companies including Village Diary, South Caernarfon Creamery and vegetables from the Really Welsh Company and handing out samples for customers to taste.
Elwen Roberts, HCC's Consumer Executive, said "Wales is known throughout the world for the top quality Welsh Lamb and Welsh Beef that is produced here. But there is also a wide range of other fantastic produce created throughout the country.
"By holding these cooking demonstrations we hope to show people how easy it is to use local produce to create brilliant meals and hopefully shoppers will then show their support to Welsh businesses."
